Her speciality is horses, which run a long time, stay sound and win many races, at all levels, on the Flat, NH and abroad. The following horses were all purchased by Linda, mostly as yearlings – their performance and soundness speaks for itself. WINNERS -
CHADFORD trained by Tim Walford, and selected for him by Linda, (costing 7,500 guineas) he won his second hurdle race, at Catterick on 30 November. He won well, by 1 3/4 lengths Placed on the Flat, he really enjoys jumping hurdles, Ridden by the Trainer's Son Nick, he looks to have a good future over hurdles and is rated 126.STANDPOINT won his third race at Wolverhampton on 17February, another claimer; luckily he was not claimed: he runs so consistently, the handicapper is not giving him much chance: hence claimers. He has given his new owners a lot of fun and has won double his purchase price. By top sire, Oasis Dream, he was a purchase by Linda from Juddmonte Farms in October 2009.
KODICIL also trained by Tim Walford in Sheriff Hutton, North Yorkshire, was chosen by Linda for the trainer at Tattersalls Sales in autumn 2009. He was a handsome, good moving yearling and we were delighted to get him. Selected by Linda and bought for only 2,500 gns. KODICIL confirmed the high opinion his trainer had of him by winning at Beverley at the end of August and won his second race at Pontefract on 17 October over 1M2F, staying on very well up the hill to pass AMAZING BLUE SKY. He looks sure to win again and the Commentator described him as "A very consistent horse, who is improving all the time".
PANOPTIC, trained by Sir Henry Cecil at Warren Place, followed up her placed efforts at Goodwood and Doncaster, with winning her maiden at Doncaster 1st July. She won over 7F, winning by 1 and half lengths; her previous run was same course and distance when second to JOHNNY CASTLE (who won again and is rated in the 90's), so her effort was not surprising, as the form was solid.
She is now a valuable broodmare, being by DUBAWI out of a black type mare PAN GALACTIC and her owners, the Black Type Partnership, plan to breed from her. She is due to visit MEDICEAN in 2012, for her first covering.
