Breeding

Linda purchased well bred mare WAFEIRA in foal to PACO BOY at Tattersalls December Sales. WAFEIRA, who won as a two year old, was bred by Juddmonte Farms and is by DANSILI out of PROTECTRESS a Listed winner at 2, from the family of ARMIGER and MARKET FORCES.

PACO BOY had his first foals in 2012 and they were all strong, good looking types, who should be popular at this year’s yearling sales.

Very sadly, we lost WAFEIRA due to sudden diagnosis of cancer.  We shall have another mare covered by PACO BOY

Linda has been purchasing well bred fillies, mares and stallions for clients for several years. In an ever selective market, it is vital for the mare to have a good pedigree: Linda can help you select a stallion mating, compatible with your mare and can arrange everything for you.

Linda purchased QUINZEY’S BEST for a client; this is her  fourth foal, by   MOUNT NELSON, Group 1 winning son of ROCK OF GIBRALTAR.  His first crop of 3 year olds are due to run this Flat season; nearly 50% of these are out of black-type performers/producers.  An exciting young sire.  QUINZEY’S BEST now boards at Norman Court Stud, in Wiltshire and is due to visit SIXTIES ICON this spring.

DAY CREEK – grey mare – DAYLAMI/WITH FASCINATION,  was purchased by Linda for a client, and is from a good George Strawbridge family; she is half sister to 7  winners, including WITH INTEREST and INCOMING.  DAY CREEK is due to foal to EQUIANO in the  next week or so, so watch this space…….

CHARLOTTE VALE – 7 times winning mare by PIVOTAL, foaled a good colt by PASTORAL PURSUITS on 30 March in Middleham.  She has two runners this year: MARGO CHANNING and SPATS COLOMBO, both of whom should win this season.

In January 2010, Linda purchased Australian Caulfield Cup winner ALL THE GOOD from Godolphin, for Cokai Stud in Turkey. By DIESIS out of ZARARA/MANILA, winner of 7 races, including 6 in the UK, he ran 23 times and has yearlings in Turkey in 2012..

Linda brokered the purchase of MARAAHEL in 2009. MARAAHEL, globe trotting, multiple Group winner for Shadwell Stud, went to Trinidad, West Indies, to embark on a new career as a stallion. He has three year olds this season; and had several foals from top class mares and the reports from breeders are that his foals are “best they have ever had”. .
