LAMONT RACING got off to a fantastic start when ANGEL ROSA, bought by Linda, won first time out at Hamilton on Thursday May 30th. She beat 6 rivals, several of whom had run previously. She had a difficult, outside draw, but showed great professionalism to take up the running over a furlong out and stayed on well to beat the 9/4 favourite.
She won by one and three quarters lengths and Craig McClymont, who runs the new syndicate, was there to receive the trophy. All LAMONT members are delighted and will have a lot of fun with this filly.
Linda purchased ANGEL ROSA – 2 year old filly MULTIPLEX/ROSI QUEST/RAINBOW QUEST at Doncaser Bloodstock January Sales
Linda also purchased two yearlings: a sharply bred CAPTAIN GERRARD filly out of OBSESSIVE SECRET who is out of a half sister to the dam of EXCELLENT ART – a great Cheveley Park family. She was foaled on 7th April 2012 and is bred to be an early sort; LAMONT RACING have named her PENELOPE PITSTOP see photo below:
. She will go into training with Keith Dalgleish.
Linda also purchased a well-bred colt by SHOWCASING – out of BARBOUKH – a Listed winning mare by NIGHT SHIFT. This colt was bred by Whitsbury Manor Stud and was born 11 March 2012. SHOWCASING was the fastest Gimcrack winner ever, so this colt should have plenty of speed. Photos of him below:
